Atelier Norr began with the question: what makes clothing stay?

Atelier Norr is an independent dressmaking studio in central Gothenburg. We make custom clothing for adults who value a garment’s daily usefulness as much as its appearance. The name points north, but the work is close at hand: measured in person, fitted in daylight and finished at the worktable.

We believe clothes can be expressive without becoming costume. That means attending to the parts rarely photographed—the way a shoulder sits after an hour, the ease through a seat, the finish against the skin. It also means being honest about what a fabric can do and what a wardrobe does not need.

Our practice combines traditional handwork with a clear, contemporary approach to fit. We welcome people with experience of bespoke clothing and people who are simply tired of compromising at the changing room. Every visit starts with questions, not assumptions.
